This document describes the terms on which we would be happy to help you.

Best Advice

We will help and support you to make decisions about your belongings and your home however it is important that you make the decisions yourself. Advice is given in good faith, and it is always your decision to accept guidance on whether to keep particular possessions. A Good Moment Company cannot therefore accept any responsibility for the consequences of such decisions. From time to time, we may handle items which have a potentially high market value. While we will always endeavour to identify such items amongst your possessions, you acknowledge that we are not valuers, nor do we have the expertise to identify items of noteworthy value or rarity, nor are we qualified to advise on valuation matters for insurance purposes. You are responsible for obtaining any financial, legal, or other professional advice that you may need to support any decision you make. A Good Moment Company cannot be held liable for any items or possessions that have been discarded.

Insurance

Whilst we take great care to look after your possessions, we cannot be held liable for any losses or damage. Photographs & Testimonials

A Good Moment will take before and after pictures of each area we work in. This is for a number of reasons. For insurance purposes, to refer to when planning for storage and most importantly, for you to see the difference in a photograph as well as in person. These photos are only ever seen by A Good Moment Company and kept in secure digital files. Deposits and Home Consultation

A Good Moment Company requires a deposit before confirming the first session and providing services. The standard deposit is 25% and is payable at the time of booking to hold your session date. Your deposit will be taken off the invoice amount, it is not an extra charge to you.

If an in-person consultation takes place in advance of the session this will be charged at €50, payable at the end of that visit. If you go on to book a session, this will be subtracted from your final invoice, making the consultation free.

Payment Terms

An invoice will be issued after the session is completed and is payable within 24 hours by means of credit/debit card or bank transfer using the bank details shown on the invoice.

The invoice will detail all charges including any storage product bought, sourcing product and recycling fees, deposit and consultation fees paid in advance.

We are not VAT registered at the present time. Interest at 2% per month will be charged on any balance due which remains unpaid 14 days after receiving the invoice.

Purchase & Return of Organisation Stock

A Good Moment Company can source organisation products for you, once we have received your approval. These will be charged to you at their retail price plus a sourcing fee of €30. If there is a product you do not like once we have installed it, we will be happy to organise its return and reimburse you; however this decision has to be made on the day we are in your home and cannot be done once we have left or removed labels/assembled products. Returns will not be possible if the return window has exceeded (usually 28 days after purchase), purchases will therefore be made nearer to the session date.

Cancellation Policy

We appreciate that both you and A Good Moment Company may need to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances. All rescheduled sessions must take place within 2 months of the original session date. There is no additional charge for rescheduling a session. If a cancellation is made within 48 hours of the booked session and no replacement session is booked, we may, at our discretion, charge 50% of the intended fee. Travel charges or further expenses paid in advance, which we cannot obtain refunds for, are not refundable in any circumstances and will be invoiced to you at the time of cancellation.

Hours of Work

You will be invoiced for the time we spend in your property i.e. between the arrival and departure time. You will not be charged for travel time or for donating/disposing of items before or after the session. We will carry out a consultation prior to the session during which we will work with you to determine how many hours you may require. Whilst a booking will be made for a pre-agreed (estimated) time, it is understood that it is not always possible to anticipate exactly how long a job will take and some projects may require more hours than initially thought. Depending on the progress we make together it may be necessary to schedule extra hours to finish the project. If this is the case, we will always obtain your permission.

Breaks and Refreshments

We do not expect you to provide us with food or drink and take our own supplies with us. If a session covers lunchtime, we will take a short lunch break, but you will not be charged for this. We will need to break occasionally for a few minutes to hydrate and pace ourselves. These short breaks are included within the session time.

Travel & Access

All services paid for include travel costs however any journey that is outside Dublin/Leinster Region will incur travel costs (at our discretion). Travel costs will be included in the service quote.

Limits of Work

We are happy to undertake some light cleaning to assist the decluttering and organising process, but please note that A Good Moment Company does not provide a cleaning service. We can help you relocate items to more appropriate locations, however there will be limitations within our physical capability. We are happy to assemble small organisation items however we are not able to carry out any drilling, carpentry, heavyweight assembly.

Removal of Items

Items to be removed from your premises, either for disposal or to other locations, must be done at your own discretion. Disposal will not take place without your authorisation. You accept responsibility for all items disposed of in the editing and organising session. Once agreed items have left your home, it is not possible to get them back i.e. if you change your mind. We do not provide a valuation service or have the expertise to identify items of noteworthy value or rarity.

We do not remove rubbish but do provide the bags. We encourage recycling items where possible and donating to registered charities and are happy to help with such disposal (e.g. take some items to charity shops and/or to the local recycling centre (any cost of recycling to be covered by the client)). You are responsible for removing any larger items that cannot be easily carried in one’s hands. We can also provide information on local services and selling options if required.

A Good Moment Company works with your own belongings. Any items not belonging to you should be decluttered with the express permission of the person concerned, who should also sign below.

Referrals

We are happy to make suggestions on the use of additional services such as cleaners, skip hire, electricians, handymen that may assist in our organising work. We cannot however accept responsibility for your relationship with such service providers and cannot be liable for the quality of their work.
